Oaklanding

We're loving the warm weather this weekend. It's giving us an excuse to eat lots of ice cream. After knitting circle at the library, we headed, with books and dvds/videos in hand, to the yogurt shop around the corner for a much-needed cool treat. We sat outside, ate our yogurt, and engaged in some people watching. I really do love our neighborhood. Our little village of Piedmont Avenue has everything--hospital, library, restaurants, banks, grocery stores, independent movie theater, a Catholic church, and lots and lots of coffee shops. All of it within walking distance from our home. We're certainly going to miss our Saturday routines (including picking honey suckles and wild blackberries as we make our way to the village) in this cozy place when we move to Seoul, but I'm sure we'll eventually develop some new, equally fun, routines in our new neighborhood there.
