Putting her newly-bobbed hair up was a bit of a challenge. I initially had it in pigtails, but the stage mom back stage said, "Uh...no, no, no..that's not gonna cut it." And instructed me to get as much hair as possible into a little ponytail in the back. We then pinned hair straggles back with bobby pins and voila! It wasn't half bad.
Here the kids are lining up to go onstage. Note the little boy with the hair thingy in his hair, too. He's three, very cute, and does pretty well in dance class with his older brother and all the girls. I'm trying to convince the boys to join, but Ronan insists, "I not a big boy, I a little boy." Hmmm. I'm sure that means he just doesn't want to do it, despite the ballet classes Dahin holds frequently at home.
Last minute details included making sure all the kids's laces were tucked inside their shoes. The older dancers, in ballet 1 or ballet 2 class, helped with the younger ones, making sure their hair was neat and shoes were secured. The performance, as always, was really well done. We're not allowed to take photos or videos in the theatre; otherwise, I'd show some shots from the stage.
