Record Snow Fall

The pictures of the previous snowfall are rinky-dink compared these photos of the snowfall we got this week. We woke up Monday morning to a record snow fall. I think its the most snow we've gotten at one time in 70 years or so. It had already fallen 15 centimeters overnight and we got more than 12 additional centimeters through the afternoon. Apartment staff and residents worked to clear the paths and stairs, but the snow would fall and recover everything. The boys, despite the relatively clear pathways, could not help but step in the snow banks.

We had to drive the boys to school because their bus couldn't make its rounds that morning. The streets were a mess. There was just so much snow so soon, it took an incredible effort to clear it. They're still clearing the roads today.

Nakseongdae Park looks so beautiful covered in snow. It's just a buggar to walk through! Dahin discovered that as we picked her up from school. She had trouble making it to the car.

By the time we picked the boys up from school, Dahin and her friends had already made several igloos, a 'ski path,' and a snow man.
If I were this bird, I'd be very cold. Below, you can see the 'ski path' on the hill behind our home.

Ronan and I built a snow man. Ronan decided he needed to build a mountain for the snowman, so hepiled a bunch of snow next to and behind the snow man. Of course, there as already a bunch of snow around the snowman, so that didn't take too much time.
