More Snow

These are shots of the snow we had before the New Year that just stayed around because it is just too dang cold for the snow to melt--brrrrr. I am posting the photos of the major snow we got this week next, but couldn't resist posting these because they're pretty cute. Above, the boys pose with the tiny snowman a neighbor made. Below, Ronan demonstrates his sledding technique. Jack had taken them out the night before and showed them how to slide down snowy hills on a flattened cardboard box and plastic bags. I woke up in the morning to hear the boys escaping out the front door--sans coats--to do some sledding. Once they were properly dressed, Ronan went sledding crazy. This works if you don't have a real sled, which we don't yet (guess we should get one). For the most part, Ronan just sits on the bag and scoots himself along.

Dahin and Oliver attempted to build their own tiny snowman, but the powdery snow made this a challenge. Luckily, they found two balls of ice they just pieced together. Oliver took the picture of Dahin below, snapping a photo of her snowman with her mobile phone camera.

I love the blog. I get a real feel for the neighborhood. The photos make Seoul come alive with all the great eating places and the traffic. I really enjoyed the pictures of the kids sledding as it reminded me of my childhood. We used cardboard boxes as sleds as well. Fun is fun without expensive toys.
