Jack's cousin, Brad, has a new baby! Wendy, Brad's wife, gave birth to their baby girl last week. She is so adorable! We were able to spend some time with Brad and his mom at their apartment before visiting Wendy at the hospital. I promised Wendy I would not post any 'I'm in the hospital and haven't bathed in days," photos of her. I'll wait until she's fully recovered. At Korean hospitals, they don't allow women who have just had babies to bathe. I'm not sure how long, but it had been a week and Wendy had still not been allowed to shower. Yikes! They also make her eat miyeok-guk (sea mustard soup) over, and over, and over again. And (one more thing), she gets to move to a recovery home where she and the baby can rest for two weeks while people take care of them. While the other parts--no bathing, etc.--aren't so fun, I would have loved to have something like a recovery home where people would just take care of me and let me rest. She won't be done recovering from the birth until the end of this month.Welcome to our blog! With family and friends on four continents, it's hard to stay in touch.
