Getting Ready to Move Up

Ronan and Oliver are preparing to graduate from preschool and move up to first grade.  In November and December, they had multiple photo sessions for their graduation albums and class photos, and this semester they've been talking about what happens in first grade.  The teacher asked the kids to write down questions about first grade and they wrote questions like: will their be an elevator at my school? what if I can't keep up in class?  what if I answer a question wrong?  do I have to pack a lunch?  is the food good in first grade?  what will I learn?  etc.  We don't have computer files for Oliver's cap and gown photo, but received Ronan's since we did not like the one the photographer chose for his album and asked if we could look at all the photos and choose the one we liked best.   We chose this one.  Believe me, this was the best of the bunch.  In others, he was sucking in his cheeks, or looked like he might fall asleep at any minute.  Why so serious, little Ronan?  Still, I think he looks so precious.  I can't believe they'll be first graders soon.
